If I look familiar, it is because I was one of the writers, producers, television celebrity chefs and hosts for Home Cooking with Amy Coleman, a national television series on the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) from 1995 to 2001, with more than 5 million viewers per episode. It was the fastest growing and only PBS national cooking show to rank in the top two most popular television cooking productions.
Former instructor at The Culinary Institute of America, and author of six cookbooks, I am a veteran media personality for major national brands, including Kraft Foods, Whirlpool, KitchenAid and Weber. Media trained in public speaking, I have many years of experience doing public appearances, book signings and storytelling engagements at schools, nonprofit organizations, local churches and national ministries.
For the past 10 years, I have been busy being a wife, a home-school mom, a mother to an amazing daughter, and taking care of my wonderful mother, who left this world too soon.
During that time, I also took on my greatest personal and professional challenge: taking professional culinary education, my passion for children, love of teaching, and my dedication to God and humanity, to begin writing a children's book series, full of fantastical adventure, dangerous quests, and a hero in the making, named Zeek.
I am currently in the final stages of choosing an agent and a publisher, and am excited for my next chapter (pun intended).
